Features of Crystal Mage 2 Missile:

  • Unlike its predecessor Crystal Maze 1, which was earlier inducted into the Indian Air Force from Israel, Crystal Maze 2 boasts of extended stand-off range capabilities as an air-to-surface missile.
  • It is capable of hitting targets at a distance of more than 250 kilometers.
  • With options for penetration or blast fragmentation warheads, the missile is capable of destroying above ground or well-protected underground targets.
  • This is especially effective in GPS-denied environments.
  • Its deployment strategy involves releasing the missile outside the surface-to-air safe zone.
  • High-velocity trajectories are then used to minimize risk to aircraft and missiles.
