Foreword:

  • Both green development and climate change are global problems, the solution of which is one of the most important challenges at present.

Green Growth:

The main objective of green development is to ensure the growth of the economy and to provide maximum benefits of its benefits to all sections of the society.

Climate change:

  • Climate change has emerged as a major threat to the entire world. This is causing problems like earthquake, tsunami, storm, flood, drought, and increase in maximum temperature.

Green Development vs Climate Change:

  • Primary development goals: While enhancing opportunities for green growth, we must ensure that the impacts of climate change are minimised. We should prefer measures that reduce pollution, move toward prevention, and recycle financial resources.
  • Education and awareness: Educating people about the impacts of climate change should be our priority. With awareness, people can also make changes in their lifestyle which can slow down climate change.
  • New technologies: Supporting the development of new technologies to increase the technology and prosperity of clean energy sources can make our constitutional commitment to climate change stronger.
  • The role of the Republic: Governments need to take responsibility for climate change. They can work to enforce tougher regulations, expand cleanup authority, and most importantly, participate in global agreements.
